Dust mites live primarily in any type of mattresses, but they are invisible to the human eye. It feeds on shed dead skin cells. These little creatures are so small that as many as 1,000 of them could be placed on the head of a pin! And guess where their favourite breeding spot is? Yes, that's right - the mattress. Their ideal home!

Because it's warm, often moist, cosy, easy to burrow into and full of their favourite food... skin flakes, the skin flakes every human being sheds every day and night of his or her life, no matter what their age, sex or state of health. Modern day features of homes, such as double glazing and central heating, contribute to an increase in dust mites, bacteria, viruses and other filthy residues found in our beds. It follows that there has also been an increase in health problem such as Asthma, Eczema, Hay Fever and Allergies.
